The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) thanks to the members of the 2021 Billy Jean King Cup for serving and representing The Bahamas at the highest level. Kerrie Cartwright, Sydney Clarke, Elana Mackey and Sierra Donaldson played strong and ended competition play in 3rd position.
Kerrie Cartwright expanded her singles wins with 3 additional Billy Jean King Cup wins over Costa Rica, Uruguay and El Salvador. Sydney Clarke had 2 great singles wins over Costa Rica and El Salvador. The team had a very good performance, great camaraderie and synergy. President Perry Newton congratulates Team Bahamas on a strong showing in
the competition. The ladies fought hard and we can only be excited that The Bahamas competed at such a high level amongst some of the best athletes in the Americas Group II region.
The Team is thankful for the support of the country at large as there were many well wishes sent to the Team in Panama. The BLTA thanks the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture, The Bahamas Olympic Committee, The Street Trader Limited and Faye and Florie, international clothing manufacturer for their assistance towards The Bahamas team.
