Team Championships in Curacao
The Bahamas has a 4-member 12U National Team is participating in the ITF 12U Caribbean COTECC Team Championships being held August 23 – 30, 2015 in Curacao.
The Team consists of Denali Nottage of Freeport (No. 1 seed), Anthony Burrows, Jr. (No. 2 seed) for the Boys and Emma Weech (No. 1 seed) and Perjae Major (No. 2 seed) for the Girls. Both teams are being coached by Ceron Rolle. The first championships started in 2013 in Jamaica when both our boys’ and girls’ teams captured the gold. Last year, our Boys’ team recaptured the gold and our Girls’ Team received the bronze in St. Lucia.
The event is sponsored by the International Tennis Federation, in conjunction with COTECC. The championships will also be supported by the Grand Slam Development Fund. Twenty-Two nations have been invited to participate.

- Denali Nottage defeated Kunsh Moolchandani 4-1, 4-0
- Anthony Burrows Jr. defeated Shane Hermelyn 5-4 (7), 4-5 (3), 10-8
- Denali Nottage and Anthony Burrows Jr. defeated Suriname players in doubles 4-0, 4-0
THE GIRLS PLAYED ARUBA
- Emma Weech defeated Sofie Van Reek 4-1, 4-0
- Perjae Major lost to Danna Nunez 3-5, 0-4
- Emma Weech and Perjae Major lost in doubles to Aruba players4-2, 2-4, 7-10
