The Abaco Tennis Association (ATA) continues in the pursuit of its motto of “Preparing our youths for success through tennis” by hosting its first Back To School Jubilee. The two-day event which was held in Dundas Town and Forrest Heights Abaco was a great success.
On Day 1 the Abaco Tennis Association hosted a tennis clinic for juniors which was initiated by Coach Tito Russell and Guest Coach Sidney Pratt. Abaco and Freeport came together in the clinic, an excellent cross-island training opportunity for the juniors in the northern region of the Bahamas.
On Day 2 the juniors participated in singles competition while the adults participated in singles and doubles competitions. The kids were able to put some of the things they learned on Day 1 into practice right away. The adults also had a great time as they competed.
