The International Tennis Federation honoured Mr Marvin Rolle at the Davis Cup today in Paraguay. Marvin is a decorated Davis Cupper. This year Marvin is once again the player/captain for Team Bahamas which also includes Kevin Major Jr., Denali Nottage Donte Armbrister and Player Captain Marvin.
The Davis Cup recognizes veteran player Marvin Rolle as he receives his 25th Nomination to Team Bahamas. His willingness to serve and represent the country is unmatched. His best run with the team is Group I Semifinals. Marvin has been a part of the Bahamas Davis Cup for 15 straight years. He has won 42 Davis Cup matches, 28 in doubles which is the most for any Bahamian player. Marvin’s Career High ranking in doubles is 681 and 1304 in singles. He epitomizes tennis strength, skill, and class. Marvin first played for Team Bahamas at the Davis Cup in 2001.
BLTA President Perry Newton noted that this award highlights Marvin Rolle’s Davis Cup dedication and hard work throughout the years. He has represented The Bahamas and The BLTA at a high standard. Marvin has proven to be a fierce competitor and a true gentleman, always putting the needs of the team before his own.”
