Yesterday at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) U18 Tournament in Castries, St. Lucia, Donte Armbrister advanced to the Boys’ Singles Quarterfinal. The tournament features top talent from the Caribbean, USA, Canada, Brazil and Switzerland.
Donte Armbrister played well in his singles and won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 over Hai Vo from Vietnam. Donte is the 4th seed and will face today the 5th seed Eric Kovacs from Canada.
Donte and partner Johnathan Laforest will also match up against Canadian brothers Eric and Kevin Kovacs in the Doubles’ Quarterfinal
later in the day.
Donte Armbrister, Sydney Clarke and Jacobi Bain are all representing The Bahamas on this ITF junior circuit. Jacobi and Sydney were both able to reach the Quarterfinal in Doubles but their tournament play came to an end yesterday. It was a good run.
The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association wishes Donte much success in his Quarterfinal matches today. We also wish this talented trio of Sydney, Donte and Jacobi best wishes on their tennis journeys.
