After returning home Team Bahamas was recognized for their efforts at the 2019 Fed Cup in Lima, Peru. The Team ended up on top of Pool B and played in the tennis finals against Peru. Despite falling to the host country Team Bahamas left an indelible impression with their splendid match play.
Two members of the Team fielded by The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association Danielle Thompson and Sydney Clarke on Wednesday past are pictured with the Prime Minister, the Honorable Dr. Hubert Minnis, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture The Honorable Lanisha Rolle, Director of Sports Mr. Timothy Munnings, along with other Ministers of Parliament.
Two of the team members have returned to college and training Sierra Donaldson and Player/Captain Kerrie Cartwright, respectively. Congratulations Team Bahamas on a job well done!
