Over the weekend the Grand Bahama Tennis Association (GBTA) held a successful junior tournament at the YMCA in Freeport, Grand Bahama. The tournament was sanctioned by the Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) and featured talented juniors participating in the first junior tennis event on the 2022 tennis calendar.

The BLTA congratulates the GBTA on a well-organized tournament and extends congratulations to all of the winners and participants. Special mention of the singles double crown winner Khai Rhees who captured the U18 and U16 Boys categories! Patrick Mactaggart, Saphirre Ferguson and BreAnn Ferguson also captured a singles victory and a doubles victory. Kayla Fox, Jalisa Clarke and Jackson Mactaggart all played in two division finals and captured a singles victory. The sportsmanship trophies were awarded to Alesso Batello and Hailey Bowe. The tournament referees were Rodney Carey and Danny Rigby.
