Graduate Student Joshua Turnquest has been very instrumental in helping Indiana Wesleyan University attain its #2 ranking in the nation. The
team has an impressive 39-4 record-setting a school record for the most wins in history!
On Senior’s Day Joshua and fellow teammate, Karl Wurth were recognized by their college. Josh won four matches that day. In doubles, he won in the #2 position alongside Jeremias Rocco 6-1 and also teamed up with Mariano Jaliff for a 6-3 victory.
The coach stated “We were able to honour our seniors today, we are going to miss Karl and Josh. Their leadership and talent have been so valuable to our team. In the last four years, the men’s record is 121-18 for a .870 winning percentage. Their highest ranking is the current ranking of No. 2 in the nation. This year our record is 39-4. They have set every school record.”
Earlier this year Joshua and the Wildcats captured the NAIA National Indoor Invitational Championship defeating No. 9 Union College 4-0.
The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) congratulates Joshua on a spectacular season setting multiple records with his teammates for Indiana Wesleyan. What an excellent way to end a great collegiate career which started with the Asbury Eagles. We believe the best is yet to come as they set their sight on Nationals. The Wildcats will travel to Mobile, Alabama to compete in the NAIA National Championship May 17 – May 21. We wish Joshua and teammates God’s blessings and much success.
