Congratulations and best wishes are extended to the M15 Cancun ITF Singles Champion, Justin Roberts! Justin came through the qualifying rounds to reign supreme in the tournament held at the Cancun Tennis Academy.
In today’s match, Justin had similar results as yesterday’s semifinals match against the #1 seed Jack Draper where he won in the 3rd set after being down 1 set and down 2-5 in the second set. Today in the Final, Justin would lose the first set 3-6 and was down in the second set but fought hard to prevail 7-6 in the second set winning the tiebreak 10-8. In the 3rd deciding set Justin went into another gear as he closed out 6-4 against his opponent Kalman Boyd of the USA.
The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Justin on another amazing comeback victory and for staying focus to capture his first ever singles ITF Pro circuit win. Justin has performed consistently and continues to raise the bar as he achieves new tennis feats. Last week’s doubles ITF pro circuit win coupled with two (2) quarterfinal singles appearances over the last month has fueled Justin.
We are extremely proud of Justin and his tennis work so far and know that there will be many more tennis accomplishments in the future. Great accomplishment Justin, continue to shine brightly.
