Bahamians Kevin Major Jr. and Justin Roberts are currently competing on the tennis pro circuit arena. Kevin Major Jr. has advanced out of the qualifying rounds at the M15 in Cancun Mexico. In qualis Major seeded #2 received a bye in the first round and in the second round of qualis he was victorious over Mariano from Argentina 6-2 6-1. Major moved onto the final round of qualis against Handel from Germany and won in a competitive 3-set match 6-1, 1-6, [10-5].
Today Major will face Tigre Hank in the R32 in singles at the Cancun Tennis Academy. Later on in the day, ‘KJ” will team up with American
Charles Force in doubles to face Bolivians Mendozo and Zeballos, the 3rd seeds in doubles competition.
Justin Roberts is participating in the M25 in Waco Texas. Justin is teaming up with Antiguan Jody Maginley in doubles; the duo has a doubles championship from this summer in Cancun. Justin and Jody take on De Jong and Nijboer from the Netherlands today.
