Mr. Evon Wisdom, Senior Education Officer at the Ministry of Education visited the National Tennis Centre this past weekend. Mr. Wisdom met with BLT President, Ms. Darnette Weir, Mr. John Goede, International Tennis Federation Development Officer for The Caribbean and other Executives inclusive of recently appointed, Head of Junior Development, Mr. Perry Newton Jr. and Junior Tennis Initiative Administrator and Assistant Secretary, BLTA, Mrs. Chilean Burrows. Also, in attendance was Mrs. Sumner, Secretary to Mr. Wisdom. During the meeting, growth opportunities for the sport of tennis was discussed along with the present and future development plans of the Association.
President Weir stated “The BLTA is appreciative of the time spent by Mr. Wisdom which provided for positive dialogue and the sharing of ideas relative to Tennis. We look forward to a meaningful collaboration.”
