Bahamian Sydney Clarke was rated fourth amongst the top junior talent in the region according to a recent ranking poll from COTECC. Coming off an exceptional tennis season in 2018 Sydney was victorious in International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior tournaments in singles and doubles. She now stands high in junior tennis in the Caribbean and South America.
In a recent exchange with the young standout, Sydney stated that hard work pays off and she continues to stay humble through all the
achievements. Sydney is currently ranked in the 286 amongst junior tennis players in the world. Sydney is also focused on giving back and has assisted in Play and Stay sessions hosted by The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association during the past year. Sydney also was the youngest participant in a recently held Coaches Development Course at the National Tennis Centre.
Sydney was the top female finisher in the 2018 Giogio Baldacci Open Nationals. She will also represent The Bahamas in Lima, Peru next
month at the prestigious Fed Cup event. The BLTA congratulates Sydney on raising the standard high for the country and the region. We know that this is only the beginning to greater things to come.
