The Bahamas 2023 Billie Jean King Cup team is in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The team consists of Sydney Clarke, Elana Mackey, Simone Pratt and Saphirre Ferguson. The team is captained by Hall of Famer and former Fed Cup player Kim O’Kelley. The draw has landed The Bahamas in the pool with Paraguay, Venezuela and Costa Rica.
The Venue for BJK is Centro Nacional De Tenis Parque Del Este in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The following eight nations will compete in Americas Group II: The Bahamas, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Two nations will be promoted and two will be relegated. The date for the competition is July 26-29, 2023.
This is the third national team the Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association has fielded for the week! We thank those who were instrumental in assisting with the team travel preparations for the three teams, your service is appreciated! The BLTA wishes the BJK team all the best as they represent the county at the prestigious BJK. We pray for strong performances from the BJK ladies. The team will face Paraguay tomorrow.
