The Bahamas Games Tennis is underway. Matches began on Friday at the National Tennis Centre(NTC), as the best of the best in Bahamian Tennis participate and represent different islands in our archipelago. The 7 islands competing in the team competition are:
Abaco
MICAL
Grand Bahama
New Providence
Long Island
Andros
Eleuthera
Day 1 was exciting as New Providence, Andros and Grand Bahama recorded opening-day wins at the 2023 Bahamas Games at the National Tennis Centre. On Day 2 Eleuthera, Andros and Long Island recorded wins and on Day 3 Grand Bahama, Andros and Eleuthera won. The Referee is Mr. Mickey Williams and the assistant Referee is Esther Newton.
The round robins are completed and the medal round participants are set:
* Gold medal match – Andros v Gr. Bahama
* Bronze medal match – Eleuthera v Long Island
* 5-6th place match – Abaco v New Providence
These final matches will be played on Tuesday, July 11, at the NTC starting at 9:00 am. Come and cheer on your island team!
