At the Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association’s 2-day Hurricane Relief Tournament that culminated today, the tennis community came together to give back to our tennis brothers and sisters in need. We saw some great matches but more importantly, we saw great camaraderie and sportsmanship. As the kids and adults got in some excellent matchplay for such a worthy cause, there was an opportunity to have fun and to communicate in a relaxing environment.
The event saw over 50 participants inclusive of 4 persons from the Abaco Tennis Association. One of the persons from the ATA was President Mrs. Cameel McDonald.
President Weir and other Officers of the BLTA felt a need to assist our friends from the North in the tennis community and organized this event. The BLTA thanks all those persons who supported the Tournament through their participation, involvement or donation.
Together we are strong!
Pictures of the winners and runners-up of the tournament are attached along with President Weir awarding the medals.
