Another superb Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) Junior Nationals has come to a successful end. Juniors participated in the U10-U18
categories for the coveted Junior National Championship. Some exciting and competitive matches were scheduled for June 16th – June 20th at the National Tennis Centre. The following National Junior Champions were crowned :

Special mention to the BLTA Tennis Nationals triple crown winner with two singles championship and one doubles championship Jerald Carroll and the girl’s singles double crown winner Jalisa Clarke. Other double National champions include Patrick Mactaggart and Kingston Reees, they both won their age divisions and a doubles championship. National Sportsmanship Trophies were awarded to Arthava Hombal and Sarai
Clarke.

Armbrister, Mateo Smith, Elana Mackey and Anthony Burrows Jr. We extend thanks to the tournament director and referee Esther Newton and Everette Munroe on a very successful and well-organized Nationals. Special thanks to Mickey Williams for his kind assistance with the draws, results and daily order of play.
The event offered the highest ranking points on the BLTA’s calendar and based on the performance in this event and others, national team
representation in international team competitions is determined. Over 100 matches were played across the singles and doubles categories by the end of the tournament. We congratulate all the juniors who participated and competed at The BLTA Nationals, continue to play and do well.
