The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) 2022 Spring Classic juniors tournament was held this weekend at The National Tennis Centre. There was an increase in players participating in the tournament with over 78 combined entries and 70 scheduled matches. The event which began on Thursday, April 7th and culminated on Sunday, April 10th was a huge success!
The 2022 BLTA Spring Classic winners and finalists are:

Double crown winners were Jerald Carroll and BreAnn Ferguson.
The tournament director was Tara Mactaggart and the tournament referee was Esther Newton assisted by Mickey Williams. The BLTA President Perry Newton congratulated the team of organizers and officials for ensuring a smooth and successful tournament despite losing a full day of play due to the weather on Day 2. “This tournament has shown a significant growth compared to the prior year. We are thankful to the tournament sponsor ST Global Markets Ltd. The matches were competitive and the tournament was well attended and well supported. Congratulations are extended to all of our juniors who competed, some for the first time. We are encouraged by the uptick in tournament participation as competition fuels growth. Congratulations to all those who stood on the medal stand, your hard work was rewarded. We now look forward to Junior Nationals which is a major tournament on our calendar scheduled for June.”
