Bahamian William McCartney won the Torneo Summer Sportinca, BLN, ALE, INFC (Real Federacion Espanola De Tennis) tournament in Mallorca. The tournament was held July 11th-16th 2022 at the Club Sportinica. William captured the Infantil Individual Masculino(Young Individual Male) Category.
On the road to victory, William received a bye in the 1st round. In the 2nd round, he won over Nicolai Rydholt 6-1,6-4. In round 3 William won over Nicholas Capel 6-3,6-4. In the semis, McCartney would face William Delach winning in straight sets 7-6(2), 6-4. In the finals, McCartney would face Mario Hernando winning convincingly 6-0, 6-2.
The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) congratulates William on winning this tournament in Mallorca. William was unseeded and did not drop a set during the entire tournament. He displayed his tennis skills and talent internationally. Continue to shine William!
